Sink your teeth into these golden warm, cheesy Bosco sticks! These cheese filled sticks are coated in butter and spices for a flavorful snack or appetizer.
Bosco sticks present a fun, unique take on traditional breadsticks. After making these, you’ll wonder why you didn’t try them sooner! These cheese sticks are a perfect combination of delicious seasoned breadsticks, gooey mozzarella cheese, and savory marinara sauce. We like to use store bought pizza dough to cut down on the prep time this recipe takes, but you can use both homemade pizza dough as well. One of our favorite things about this recipe is how easy it is to customize. The Italian seasonings give these mozzarella sticks a classic breadstick flavor; however, it can be substituted with a variety of spices to give your appetizer a different flavor. For a little more heat, try topping your Bosco sticks with red pepper flakes. You can also use freshly minced garlic to create a sharp and savory garlic butter.

Think about your favorite soft golden breadstick lightly dusted with buttery seasoning, then imagine taking a bite and inside is delicious mozzarella cheese. Simple yet so tasty! It’s essentially a stuffed breadstick. The name Bosco comes from the name of a pizzeria in MIchigan that originally created the sticks. The pizzeria was named after St. John Bosco, the patron saint of children, jugglers, and magicians. But don’t be fooled, although Bosco Sticks are a huge hit with kids, adults love them too!
